What are you getting for your Pledge donation?
Your donations to our Parish Building Expansion Program will yield the following improvements:
1. A larger and far more beautiful hall capable of seating 300+ people for a sit down dinner. The new view will certainly make the hall much more attractive and enjoyable for parish gatherings and will make access to events very easy. This new hall will also have the potential for possible rental revenue.
2. Also in the downstairs section will be a new, up-to-date kitchen. This will be much appreciated by the groups who make regular use of the kitchen; i.e., the KOC and the CWL, not to mention the various groups who put on our Lenten dinners and our Parish Youth Group which uses the hall and kitchen almost every Saturday evening for much of the year.
3. A ‘gift-shop’ room will also be included downstairs. People are often coming to the office asking where they can purchase religious objects such as medals, books, statues, rosaries, etc. This can also be used for a ‘meet and greet coffee’ area during the week and after masses.
4. Two new larger bathrooms will also be added downstairs. These will include shower facilities which will come in handy for overnight youth gatherings.
5. Increased storage areas downstairs. Our present storage areas are woefully lacking. This will be a big improvement.
6. A new, larger capacity elevator will be installed. This will make it far easier for wheelchairs and will carry a good number of people at one time.
7. Upstairs will see two new meeting/class rooms added with additional storage space. This means that with our present hall (which can be divided into two rooms) we will have four large meeting/class rooms plus the present library room. This will be a big improvement for the children’s Religious Education program and for the Adult Religious Education classes. Many of our various parish groups will be able to make use of these rooms. Several groups can meet at the same time.
8. Upstairs will also see our main entrance and exit doorway (the Port Cochére) widened and enhanced. This will be a very good improvement as this is the entrance used by 90% of our parishioners.
9. Two new larger bathrooms will also be installed upstairs.
10. Downstairs, in front of the new addition, we will see a new parking area added giving us another fifty parking spaces. This should be a great help to us as parking is a problem almost every weekend, but especially when anything special is happening.
11. As many of you have noticed, our present curbs are in very poor shape, indeed, many are literally falling apart. Hopefully, we can address this problem during our building project.
