PASTORAL COUNCIL MISSION STATEMENT

The Pastoral Council of Christ The King Catholic Community is called by the Holy Spirit to foster in its members prayerful and reflective discernment of the spiritual and temporal needs of the Parish, in union with the Pastor, and to act as a coordinating and unifying body in serving these needs. Through listening, serving, celebrating and developing community it seeks, with loving concern, to recognize and address the needs, anxieties and hopes of all Parishioners. It shall encourage participation by the entire Parish in the mission of Jesus as revealed in the scriptures. In a model of consensus, the Pastoral Council is a representative body accountable to the people it serves and to the Bishop of Victoria as its Chief Shepherd.
